Terms and Conditions
Service terms and conditions for International Plumbing customers.
1. Customer Accounts - Credit/Debit card on File.
Deposits will be required on proposals and estimates unless otherwise stated. On emergency calls, weekend or holidays services, a credit/debit card is required prior to dispatch. (vendor accounts excluded)
2. Overdue Accounts are Subject to Late Fees.
Late fees for overdue accounts are subject to a late fee of 2% monthly or 24% per annum. Payment terms will be discussed at the time of dispatch and customers will be notified of their account type.
3. Warranty
Warranty Statement for New Homes:
International Plumbing, LLC. warrants to the original purchaser of this service that all of the water/waste, gas systems and fixtures are to be free of defect for ONE YEAR from your Close of Escrow date. Damaged or normal homeowner maintenance items are excluded from this warranty. All faucets, tubs, sinks, lavs, toilets and toilet seats need to be inspected by the homeowner within the first TWO WEEKS of occupancy and damaged or defective items must be called in to our Customer Service Department within those TWO WEEKS. After that period, damaged or scratched items will be available for replacement through International Plumbing, LLC. at a reasonable charge for material and labor. The warranty will not apply under the following conditions: 1. When the plumbing equipment or any part thereof has been subjected to accident, alteration, abuse, misuse or tampering. 2. Any stoppages or overflow caused by misuse of fixtures. 3. Dripping faucets after a period of six (6) weeks caused by debris in the line. 4. Any stoppages after 30 days of occupancy caused by anything other than construction debris. 5. Toilet seats after a period of two (2) weeks.
Warranty Statement for Service Repairs:
The warranty information on this page is valid for all plumbing / gas repairs, service and replacements directly purchased from International Plumbing LLC. International Plumbing, LLC warrants its work to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period as described below:
- General Plumbing Repairs: 30 day on parts and labor.
- Water Heaters: 6-12 year manufacturer warranties available on water heaters, all other parts and labor is 30 days.
- Waste blockages: 15 day warranty.
- Drain Line: 15 day warranty, 6 month with successful main line camera inspection - main replacement.
- Main Sewer Line Spot Repair - 90 day parts and labor, 15 day main stoppage
- Main sewer line (excavation) replacement - 1 year parts and labor, 15 day main stoppage.
- Water line spot repair: 30 day parts and labor.
- Water line replacement: 1 year parts and labor.
4. Use of Pictures
Customer agrees to allow IP to use pictures for marketing and quality control purposes.
5. Email
Customer agrees to allow IP to use owners email address for receiving advertisements and specials without penalty or fees from customer. Customer information will be kept private and confidential.
6. Phone
Customer agrees to allow IP to contact customer via phone for dispatching, collecting, and advertising services.
7. Payments
Payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise noted on the invoice or estimate. Credit card payments are subject to a processing fee of 3% per transaction. Balances that are not received in full on the day of service are subject to a late fee as mentioned in section 2 of this reading. Unpaid balances after 30 days are subject to collections which include, but are not limited to property lien, theft of services filed at the Local Police Department, Civil Court, and reporting to all national credit agencies. Any sums due after 30 days will incur interest charges of 24 percent per annum, compounded monthly as mentioned in section 2. We reserve the right to withhold future work or warranty work including labor and materials at any point if payment is not made.
8. Trip Charges
Trip charges incur at $80 per service for a diagnosis/recommendation within a 25 mile radius of Richmond, Virginia. Trip charge can be waived under specific circumstances to be discussed with the service manager.
CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS:
- Home/Commercial Service Accounts: payments are expected to be CASH ON DELIVERY. These accounts include one time repairs, replacements, or installations. Service will either be billed at an hourly rate or will be a flat rate depending on the service item. A method of payment is to be provided by the customer prior to dispatching a technician for service. Residential accounts will automatically be processed with the credit card on file if invoiced work is not paid in full by the NET30 terms agreed upon from the date of service. Credit card fees may apply.
- Residential Projects: for whole house residential development, renovations, remodeling or new construction projects, International Plumbing will request a downpayment of the quote provided to the owner or the GC. The sequence of payments upon completion of work, and inspection goes as follows: 30% down payment, 50% payment of the total value of the project upon completion of rough in work & inspection, 20% payment upon completion of final inspection. These payments must follow the sequence in order before the work may continue in a timely manner.
- Special Projects: for specific projects such as bathroom additions and partial renovations. A 70% down payment of quoted work is due before commencing the work. Full payment is to be received with NET30 of the invoiced date, usually sent upon full completion of work. These types of accounts must provide a form of payment prior to dispatching, commencing, and completing the work. This form of payment will be charged upon completion of the work with the agreed hourly, or quoted rate of service.
Online credit and business history research
International Plumbing will hold the right to conduct online credit & business history research for new and existing customers.
